  • Gold Medallist in B Arch, from College of Engineering Trivandrum (1983 Batch, Kerala University).
  • Has thirty-four plus years of experience in the field of Architecture.
  • He had initially worked as a Junior Architect under eminent architect Charles Correa, in Bombay. Here, he had been associated with various projects such as the Palayam Re-Development Scheme, Township for Larsen & Toubro Cement Plant at Awarpur, Nerul Housing Project at New Bombay etc.
  • He was a visiting member of the Architectural Faculty, Govt. Women's Polytechnic, Kalamassery during the year 1985-87.
  • In 1984 he started the firm Sony Mathai Lalichan along with Sony Joseph and Lalichan Zacharias and the partnership continued till March 2017 after which he started his own firm as MATHAI MATHEW ARCHITECTS.
  • He has to his credit over 100 high rise apartment projects along with other projects such as schools, colleges, hospitals, hotels, institutions and private residences.
